[Rated PG-13]

After escaping an attack by what he claims was a 70-foot shark, Jonas Taylor must confront his fears to save those trapped in a sunken submersible. --IMDB
Gore - 2
My expectations were definitely too high for the gore aspect of this movie, but I guess I should have known with it being PG-13. There are hardly any gory kills except the ones that happen to the animals, I was expecting more along the lines of the movie Piranha, but then again that movie is R rated. I like the feel of the humongous shark in the movie, but it was really too big to make good kills.
Scariness - 2
There are a few jump scares, but nothing even a kid couldn't handle. Just moments when you are waiting for the shark to appear.
Creepiness - 1
Not creepy at all and I am sure it was not meant to be though.
Plot - 3
The story line is really not that original. The movie is entertaining for the most part and has quite a few laughs, but I am not sure I would watch it again. It is definitely a kid friendly/family horror movie.
Effects - 4
No complaints on the graphics for the most part. There was a scene or two when the humans were in the water near the shark and it looked unnatural..
