Five years after an ominous unseen presence drives most of society to suicide, a mother and her two children make a desperate bid to reach safety. --IMDB
This movie really was worth the hype. Well...right up until the end, that is. I enjoyed almost everything about the movie, except the ending. It was way to cheesy or rushed or unintentional feeling. I felt like I wanted more, like that was not best ended for such a dramatic movie. It was quite disappointing. But the movie, overall, was still pretty good. There were good intense moments and some great acting. I liked the unique concept, but it was still similar in its own way to The Happening. There was a neat twist on the immunity to the plague that was good and different. And I also enjoyed how it showed pre- and post-apocalyptic events. Most movies just show either or. There were some good gory parts as well, but the CGI was a little off on some of the water scenes. But this movie is certainly worth a watch.
