This movie certainly lived up to its hype. It was very gory, but the kills that surprisingly affected me the most were the animal kills. Those don't always bother me that much, but they were so drawn out and over the top in this movie that it disturbed me. Then, I found out the were REAL. That made it even worse. There are also a lot of rapes in this movie, just in case that bothers people.

This is a found footage movie and it is really good. The movie didn't go in the direction I originally thought it was going, but I enjoyed the direction it took even more. I mostly liked how they didn't just make out the "natives" to be savages. They even took the time to try to provide an explanation from a different perspective and try to make it somewhat relatable. But please understand that this movie is very disturbing still. So although it's a good watch, take caution when watching.

I did not enjoy the cheesy music and the sounds effects got annoying, but I know this was probably common for movies made back then.
