If nothing else, this movie was definitely gory. Out of the 54 kills, maybe 6 weren't shown in detail. Every last one of the others was shown. Even if you watch this, just to see all the kills, that would be worth your time.
Scariness - 2
They tried to throw a couple of pop-out/up scares in there, but they were very unsuccessful.
Creepiness - 2
The people possessed by the demon would get those all black "possession eyes". At first it was a bit creepy, but it got old fast. They also tried to make the crazy reverend creepy like he had a sinister motive. There was also a different kind of creepy in this movie, like a perversion being given off by the demon.
Plot - 3
I did enjoy the concept of the movie, it made it quite interesting. I just feel like they could have done sooo much more with it. The acting was bad and there were a lot of unneeded talking parts that seemed to drag the movie. And there was a forced chemistry between the main characters that was failing. But there were some slightly funny parts that helped it out.
Effects - 2
Even though this movie was gory, the graphics sucked. Some people looked like wax figures as they were getting killed. Not all were this bad, but there were a good bit. The editing of the movie was poorly done in parts too. There were scenes where someone had just gotten murdered and in the next scene they were alive again and in tact.
