[Rated R]

A teenage girl and her little brother must survive a wild 24 hours during which a mass hysteria of unknown origins causes parents to turn violently on their own kids. --IMDB
Gore - 4
A lot of the kills are gory and are shown in detail, except one kid killing they don't actually show. They just imply it with blood splatter. There are even some parts that are bloody that don't result in a kill.
Scariness - 1
If you count parents trying to kill their kids as scary, then I guess you could say it was. Otherwise, it definitely wasn't.
Creepiness - 1
Same with scariness; not really.
Plot - 4
I rated this movie so high because it was fun and original. There are a lot of plot holes and not enough of an explanation for the phenomenon, but it was very entertaining. It's also not slow; the action gets started quickly. I enjoyed the tone of the movie, the acting, and the flashbacks they threw in here and there. The tone wasn't too serious, kind of dark, but also kind of funny. Nicholas Cage really made this movie even more entertaining. I have watched and would watch this movie again.
Effects - 5
The graphics in the movie are good. There are even a couple of slow motion shots that were pretty neat.
