I was so excited about this sequel. And UGHHHHH, I was so letdown. It was worth watching, but it was not even close to as good as the first one. It was way more comical than serious or scary land the acting was mediocre. But I did like the Easter eggs and nostalgia from the first movie spread throughout the movie. There are four short stories within a main story. And I think they should have ordered them a little differently for a better impact, but it still may not have made a difference.
"Main Story" - 2
I was not a fan of the main story. The short stories being told did not seem to flow with the objective of the main story. The CGI was pretty bad and the shock value of the ending was gone because it was the same as the first movie's. Maybe it would have been better if I never saw the first one, but then what's the point?
"Good Golly" - 3
This story was so predictable for the most part. The parts that weren't, were just crazy. There was way more dialogue than action too. But it was an okay story.
"Hood Tale" - 4
This was my favorite story of them all. It wasn't as predictable and I enjoyed the mix of events. It was more original than the other stories. The CGI was bad though.
"Bros Before Hos" - 3
This was another story that had more dialogue than action. It wasn't original, there wasn't enough blood in the kills, the makeup wasn't great, and it was not very original. Overall, it was just okay.
"Emmett Till" - 2
This was by far my least favorite story. It was actually a story in a story, with the inside story being based on factual events. It just seems like they focused on sending a message more than the actual plot for this story. And it took away. I also did not really understand how the end of the story had a purpose.
