There were quite a few kills and or maimed bodies found. The kills weren't really gory, but there was a good bit of blood splatter.
Scariness - 4
This movie, like the others in the Conjuring universe, was loaded with scares and tense parts. And most of them were effective, but some of them were expected. I did enjoy how the entities in the movie didn't just hoover or pop-out -- they actually attacked.
Creepiness - 2
Most of the moments in the movie were scary, but there were a few creepy and chilling moments too. How could an evil nun not be creepy though?
Plot - 3
I think my expectations were set too high. The Nun was just okay to me. Yes, it was scary enough, but the plot just did not win me over. It was weak and basic. It was a whole movie dedicated to giving us a backstory for the other four movies in the conjuring universe and it just felt like a let down. Like they focused on scaring the audience more than giving us a great plot. And I also wasn't a fan of the mostly happy ending. It made me not like the plot even more. I was hoping for a more interesting tie in for this movie to the others too. Again, it was just okay. So if you just want a basic movie to scare you, then you should go see it, but don’t expected to be wowed.
